Network Support Engineer

Position: Network Support Engineer, full time hire 

Location: Washington, DC

Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant network experience 

* Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time, must have reliable transportation 

Certifications: CCNA or CompTIA Network+ or Security+ 

Technical Experience: 

• Expert at troubleshooting and resolving any network issues, including Layer-2/3 protocols, as well as Layer-4 protocols
• Must have experience with HTTP, SSL, FTP, SMTP, RTSP protocols 
• Provide support to all devices on the network including POS systems, web applications, operating systems, routers, firewalls, and printers. 
• Must have experience procuring and installing network devices. 
• Schedule and coordinate all upgrades and continuously performance tune and optimize the network. 
• Experience working with Cradlepoint and Aerohive  
• Ensure PCI compliance 

The ideal candidate will be lover of all things technology and must be willing to research and present recommendations to the C-suite.   "Not my job" is not in your vocabulary.  We are looking for a hands on team member willing to go on site and resolve any networking issues quickly with poise.  Experience teaching non technical team members is a huge plus.  Must have shown the ability to work with 3rd party providers.
